Kawamoto Makoto's house
2001
The house was conceived for a musician named Makoto Kawamoto.
It was planned mainly based solely on the images of the songs on her album.
The house is named after the lyrics of the song, in which the inhabitant, Makoto Kawamoto, goes round and round in this doughnut-shaped house built in a reservoir in his native Fukui.
The plan to build a celebrity's house using only the information you have is a class that has been adopted by various architecture departments as a form of mental exercise.
For example, from memory, Gorbachev's house or the Beatles' row house.
In the end, I had no way of showing it to Makoto Kawamoto, and it was quietly stored away, but I'm planning to use it as a topic of conversation when I meet him one day.
